At MurphyEpson, we live at the intersection of meaningful engagement, great design and impactful storytelling. That’s the idea behind the brand-new MurphyEpson.com — an intentionally-designed, mobile-friendly website that not only reflects our legacy of expertise but also strengthens our ability to share and innovate with thought leadership.
“Our focus for decades has been bringing all voices to the table to shape stronger communities,” said Marie Keister, President and CEO. “Our team’s work on the new website reflects that commitment — it’s more welcoming, more accessible and more reflective of what we do. We can’t wait for you to see it!”
We didn’t just want to build a new website just to build a new website: we wanted to honor the legacy of the stories we have told, the brands we have supported and the communities we have walked alongside. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our work that we forget to invest in our own brand. And when we’re so close to the day-to-day action, sometimes it takes a fresh perspective to step back, refocus and bring a vision to life.
We offer this self-reflection for clients every day. Our own process started where it always does: discovery. We asked ourselves the same questions we ask our partners: Who are we today? Who do we want to be? How can we tell each unique project story clearly and creatively across every touchpoint?
Enter the partnership with Andy Sharpe from Sharpe Creative.
Andy brought the thoughtful perspective and creative energy needed to tell our story in a way that was both true to who we are and true to where we are headed. Andy worked hand in hand with MurphyEpson Art Director Erin Hanna on both the visual design and layout - thoughtfully curating imagery and design elements that reflect our brand’s personality. Together, they also dug into our work to explore case study visuals and stories that highlighted different cornerstones of our work and expertise. Andy also collaborated closely with Senior Project Manager Lindsey Sanders to shape the structure and language of the site, making sure every detail felt intentional and aligned.
“Spearheading our new website was both exciting and humbling,” said Lindsey. “We’re used to guiding clients through this process, but doing it for ourselves meant slowing down and really reflecting on who we are. Working alongside Erin and Andy was a true collaboration - we challenged each other and made sure every visual and every word rang true.”
When it came to shaping the look and feel of the new site, Erin led with intention.
“We wanted the website to feel clean, modern and approachable - and I really think we got there,” said Erin. “We focused on thoughtful use of color, clear typography and strong visuals to let our work speak for itself.”
One of the first things you’ll notice about the site is our photography, which plays a key role in bringing our work to life. Riley Watkins is a Project Manager at MurphyEpson, but also a well-known lifestyle photographer in the Columbus area. She captured our team headshots at The Que Studio on Main Street in Columbus.
“I really wanted each person’s energy to come through in their photo,” Riley said. “It’s important to me to capture people as they really are because that sets the tone for our brand personality and helps people connect with us on a more human level. When the team feels seen and comfortable, that authenticity shines through.”
One of the biggest enhancements to our new website is our increased focus on consistent content through blogs. As an organization committed to leading with thought leadership, we’re using this platform to share insights, trends and case studies that shape our industry.
Senior Media & Content Manager Jonathan Keilholz and Account Coordinator Jill Rebarchak played a key role in refining copy throughout the website, bringing clarity and consistency to our voice. Now, they’re continuing to shape our content through blog posts and thought leadership, helping us share insights, stories and ideas in a way that feels true to the ME brand.
“We wanted the copy on the new site to reflect the clarity and purpose behind everything we do,” said Jonathan. “Now with the blog, we have the space to dig deeper - to explore the ideas and lessons that shape our work. It’s a chance to share our impact and make sure we’re immersed in the broader conversations and trends happening in our industry.”
Like with anything we do, the content will be mindful and deliberate. In order to ensure deep respect for our history and deep passion for community collaboration, President and CEO Marie Keister provided legacy guidance and thoughtful mentorship in much of the storytelling.
“It’s exciting to help bring the ME voice to life in a more intentional way, “ said Jill. “The blog gives us a platform to join conversations we might have missed out on before - about things we care about and efforts we shape.”
